Ann Sims, one of the peace ladies from the Palo Alto Peace Center, was Thorsten Veblen’s stepdaughter, still living in in a cottage on Sand Hill Road, by the creek. Ann and two others stood with peace signs once every week by the Macy’s in the Stanford Shopping Center. Folks used to crash at her cottage.
